This 28 acre site was the first phase of a multi-phase project that required platting, rezoning, and master planning. Additionally, the site continues to serve as one of the City's raw water supplies and thus required significant coordination so as to avoid conflicts with the wellhouses and underground utilities. In addition to the design and construction of Phase I, the scope also included master planning the remaining phases (being developed by different developers) into one master conceptual drainage permit.
This project required significant utility investigation and coordination upfront to ensure a seamless construction of the many utilities required for this project as well as accommodating the existing raw water mains, well houses and supporting infrastructure. By investigating the subsurface utilities early, working closely with the City staff, and paying careful attention to the design, significant time and costs were saved where conflicts could have otherwise occurred.
