ANDREA VIRGIN , MS, PE, LEED AP®
Andrea Virgin serves as the President and Founder of Virgin Design. She established the company with the vision of creating a planning and engineering services company that was centered on the client experience while maintaining quality standards from a project’s inception to completion. With 13 years of experience in the industry, Andrea has produced numerous notable and prestigious projects throughout the South Florida area that have included both private and public sector clients. With this blend of experience, she has established relationships on both sides of the table that add value to any project.
Over the last 5 years, Andrea has focused her attention on private sector development and provided her professional engineering services to some of the largest developers in the area. Her projects have consisted of large and smaller scale commercial shopping centers, mixed-use developments, multi-family residential communities, single-family subdivisions, office centers, storage spaces, private educational facilities, among others. Andrea’s professional engineering experience coupled with her uncanny ability to efficiently navigate the, at times, difficult approval process of a project has been the key to success in many of these projects and is what sets her apart from many engineers in the area.
Andrea earned her Master of Science in Civil and Environmental Engineering at Cornell University and her Bachelor of Science in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Florida Atlantic University. She is a Professional Civil Engineer licensed in Florida as well as a LEED® Accredited Professional and is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers. Andrea served four years as Cornell University’s Alumni President for their Boca Raton and Fort Lauderdale chapter and continues to aid in their admittance interviews.
Andrea is the proud mother of two-year old, Victoria “Tori” Virgin. Aside from her work as a dedicated mother and engineer, Andrea enjoys continuing her long-loved hobby of dancing, volunteering, and chairing for the non-profit organization, Boca Ballet Theatre, spending time with her family, and overall being an active member of the South Florida community. She is serving as Chair for the organization’s signature fundraiser, “A Princely Affair” at the Boca Hotel and is an active member of the Guild.
